About Us our company

Curios centre is one of oldest numismatic firm in India. Established in 1977 by Mr. Shyam Lal (Goga) Jain and Mrs. Sneh Jain, it has been leading the way in raising the hobby of coin collection to level of investment business.

The journey started for Goga Jain after graduating in 1969 when he decided to pursue his hobby of collecting coins inherited from his father Shri Jawahar Lal Jain into a business. In pursuit of this, he started with a stall in Janpath and together Mr & Mrs. Jain opened Curios centre in Gole Market, New Delhi.

The driving motto behind the business has been “Save Coin Save Heritage”. In perusal of this principal, they started exhibiting coins and medals in various states. This included educating the younger generation into taking interest in this line.

In recognition of his efforts, Mr. Goga Jain was awarded the gold medal in 1990 by His royal highness of Nagpur for having the best collection of coins on Delhi Sultanate.

Later on in 1996, the Delhi coin society was established with Goga Jain being the founder member. Being the pillar of the society he was made the President of the DCS and Sneh Jain being the Treasurer. This gave them a platform to interact with several other coin societies and became members of many of them.

Today he is also the President of Gole Market Traders Association.

And now we are proud to say that the third generation has also taken interest in the business with the daughter Shruti Jain by learning to read Urdu and Arabic in order to read coins, in which she takes great pride.
